TWD: WORLD BEYOND BLU-RAY RELEASE

Jenny’s (Jennifer Mallick undercover as Huck) going back to the block! The Walking Dead: World Beyond burst onto the scene after a Covid delay, on AMC last fall.

While the pace was not for everyone during the first few episodes, you cannot deny that it goes like a rollercoaster as the season goes on.

World Beyond focuses heavily on character development at first, introducing you to dozens of new characters.

The main story involves an estranged mother (Julia Ormond) and her daughter (Annet Mahendru) to secure a highly intelligent teenage girl (Alexa Mansour) to the nefarious CRM (The Civic Republic Military) to help shape the future of the human race.

CRM CONNECTIONS WITH THE SHOWS.

The CRM can be seen in The Walking Dead, where Anne, undercover as Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) saves a near-death Rick Grimes via helicopter.

And another where the ever-curious journalist Althea (Maggie Grace) finds herself in hot water with fellow CRM pilot Isabelle (Sydney Lemmon.)

They all work towards the ‘greater good’. The big picture. The CRM is manned by Commander Beale, a controlling and methodical military man who has the main say over everyone and everything.

So if you thought Elizabeth Kublek (Ormond) was truly behind it all, think again.

While all are truthfully skeptical of the organization, Jennifer is the only one to have shown the most distrust of the CRM’s intentions, at least in the eyes of others.

Isabelle let Al live (which is against protocol), and Anne announced that Grimes was a B, shortly after changing her mind from an A. A’s are heavily experimented subjects (and often their own staff as well), while B’s are simply integrated into the compound and society.

SEASON 1 RECAP.

Season 1 we left off with Felix Carlucci (Nico Tortorella) reuniting with his long-lost boyfriend, Will Campbell (Jelani Alladin) thanks to Jennifer’s directions to safety against the CRM’s wishes, as well as Iris Bennett (Aaliyah Royale) along for the ride.

Hope Bennett (Alexa Mansour) also known as The Asset, is on the helicopter with the Kublek girls (albeit to Jennifer’s disgruntled conversation with her mom) and on their way to the compound in New York.
